Kate Spade Mothers Day 2022
Fashion Printing Rush Project – New York City
Lights, Action, Call Tina Weiss!
“Excited to share our new collaboration on the recent Mother’s Day production event for Kate Spade”, Tina Weiss, VP Sales – Earth Enterprise
After an overwhelming response to their Kate Spade Apple bag campaign,
Tina Weiss was honored to be brought in again to assist in the execution of the recent pop-up nursery event produced by Vater Group and Kate Spade. The outcome was a set of charming garden aprons, sublimated on organic cotton to align with a supplied fabric visual. Critical detail was paid, to the color, each stitch, the specific trim, the fit, and the logo treatment as a separate pass of silk screen to achieve the most effective impact.
These aprons are surely “keepers”.
Both Tina and Earth Enterprise were challenged to structurally engineer printed corrugated boxes. The idea was to create a carrier for the cylinder vases, each imprinted with a personal Mother’s Day related quote. The box had to efficiently set up, hold up to the weight, be balanced, and attain the desired look required to transport each pot of daisies safely home and in the style of the iconic brand. The request for the custom handle added at the last minute, as the due date approached.
The replication of the fabric was both critical in color and pattern detail. No easy request given the inherent nature of the corrugated process and material make up.
After meeting these challenges, Earth Enterprise and Tina were able, with flexible equipment options and years of expertise, to exceed the clients’ expectations and with extreme satisfaction. The die-cutting and meticulous handwork required, while given the impossible time frame, was at first glance not one they imagined could be achieved. Yet with critical project management, and generations of experience, all deadlines were met, and the event was a huge success.
The outcome: A kitschy handbag style carrier that was so well received it has become a requested item on its own!
