Sony Influencer Box 2025
An Interview With Andy Hort Of Earth Enterprise; The Greenest Printer On The Planet
Q: What’s the backstory behind the new Sony WH-1000XM6 Influencer box project?
A: It was initiated through an agency. They approached us about a new pair of headphones they were launching.
Q: Did Sony already have a prototype or was that developed during the project?
A: We (Earth Enterprise) prototyped it ourselves.
Q: Did Sony provide mock-ups or a visual direction for the box?
A: They had an idea, but we built everything around it. There wasn’t a formal drawing in the beginning.
Q: Who led the conceptual design?
A: We designed everything. Andy Hort designed and produced the Influencer Box.
Q: How many units were produced?
A: 200 units.
Q: What were some standout design features?
A: A silver Sony belt buckle was glued onto the box. The influencer kit also included bandanas, a jean jacket, and the headphones.
Q: When did the project start and end?
A: First communication was on March 7th. The project was shipped on May 9th—a two-month turnaround.
Q: What was the feedback like?
A: Feedback from the agency was very positive. Sony loved it and is considering reprinting it.
Q: Were influencer videos included?
A: Yes, influencer videos were captured and are featured on the campaign page.
Q: Any final thoughts as the creative behind the project?
A: I love it when clients push me to try things I’ve never done before—like incorporating a belt buckle. It was very cool.
